Kurtz Family Vineyards
Winemaker | Steve Kurtz
Steve Kurtz - a sixth generation Barossan and fourth generation grape grower – began his winemaking journey at Kurtz Family Vineyards in 1997, bringing together his lifetime of grape growing knowledge, degree in viticulture and more than 20 years’ experience working alongside Barossa Valley’s winemaking greats. Today, Steve stands proud amongst his family’s vines. And, he intends to do so for many vintages to come. Steve’s labels reveal glimpses of days past and Barossa tradition:
Lunar Block is an exclusive, single vineyard shiraz made entirely from now 51 year old vines planted in the Light Pass block that was bought on 20th July, 1969. The same day that 650 million people worldwide watched Neil Armstrong take ‘one giant leap for mankind’.
The Boundary Row collection keeps the tale alive of why there were no fences between the blocks. The ‘boundary row’ was used so as not to waste the land and they each would pick half of the row.
7 Sleepers tips its hat to the Barossa tradition that the weather you get on the 27th of June, is the weather you’ll have for the next 7 weeks.

Manners Wines
Mudgee | James Manners
James Manners was always destined to work with wine. Growing up at the Glenella Guesthouse in the Blue Mountains — his father’s three-hatted restaurant and accommodation — the love of food and wine was instilled into this winemaker at an early age. For the last thirty years, Manners has made wines in New South Wales for Robert Oatley, Orlando and First Ridge. His experience includes everything from fragrant Canadian ice wines to blending noble grapes in Bordeaux. James works with growers across the high altitude vineyards in the central west of New South Wales, and has become especially known for his Rosê and Tempranillo wines. For him, a bottle of Manners must above all be delicious. It will be one that will offer grape typicity, as well as speaks clearly of its origin. You could leave it at that, or have a closer listen: James’ wines are more complex and layered than what the first encounter might lead you to believe. Much like the man himself.

Precious Little Wines
McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, Barossa | Marty O’Flaherty
The Precious Little Wine label was founded by mates - viticulturist Adam Smith and winemaker Marty O’Flaherty in 2016. They first met when they were paired together at a Corporate Golf Day while both were working for wine entities based in McLaren Vale, South Australia. The competitive duo then played cricket against each other and have been mates who have shared a friendly and sledge-filled rivalry ever since. They jumped on the opportunity to create a brand forged on their desire not to become the next “big volume commercial” success but instead craft “unique and precious little parcels of fruit” into intriguing small batch wines. Ably assisted and supported by their partners, Lisa and Sarah, they created the Little SO & SO Wine Co business and have taken off on this exciting venture.

Windowrie
Central Ranges | Antonio D'Onise
Located in the Central Ranges; Windowrie has been growing and making wine from our vineyards since the early 1990's. Over the years Windowrie have carefully nurtured the vines with the belief that great wines start in the vineyard. After 30 years of making wine from these vineyards the family has an in-depth understanding of the quality of fruit that can be produced from each specific vineyard.
With many of the vines now passing 30 years of age the low yielding vines are now producing fruit of high intensity with great colour and balance. An important aspect of Windowrie's development has been the investment in research and development during this period both in the winery and vineyard.
Our Winery produces all of the Windowrie products as well as processing and making wine under contract for outside customers.
Windowrie has always practiced minimal intervention in their vineyards. 250 Acres are Organically Certified Vineyards with a further 100 Acres "In Conversion" to Organic Certification.
Whilst we no longer have a tasting room, our range of wines can be tasted and purchased at Ferment, the Orange Wine Centre.
“Our Shiraz continues to perform well. I’m confident that with the experience that we have with the region, the vineyards and in the winery, we’re continuing to produce a modern style that competes for the best value Shiraz in New South Wales.”
— Jason O'Dea, Winegrower
